Animal Welfare Building Rules
To ensure the health and wellbeing of all animals on EquinoxMC, barns and structures must follow animal welfare guidelines. These rules are designed to reflect real-world care standards while keeping gameplay fair and immersive.
🐴 Stable Building Requirements
Each stall must meet the minimum size requirements to count as valid and safe housing for your horse.
Minimum Stall Size: 4x4 blocks (interior)
Recommended Stall Size: 5x5 or larger for improved comfort
Height: At least 3 blocks high (floor to ceiling)
Doorway Size: At least 2 blocks tall by 2 wide
Stalls must be individually enclosed with a door or gate
Minimum Run Size: 4x5 blocks
Minimum Pasture Size: 10x10 blocks
🚫 Cramped or shared stalls will not be considered valid and may result in plot value penalties or roleplay restrictions.
🧼 Hygiene & Utilities
Manure must be cleaned regularly to maintain a clean barn environment.
Each barn area should have:
At least one hay feeder or feeding trough
Access to clean water
Ventilation (windows or open areas) in larger barns
🐎 Turnout & Exercise Areas
Horses must have access to turnout or a dedicated riding area.
This can be a paddock, arena, or pasture
Turnout areas should be at least 15x15 blocks per horse
🌳 Natural elements like grass, trees, and space to move freely are highly encouraged for realism and well-being.
🚫 Welfare Violations
If your barn does not meet welfare standards, the following may occur:
Your horses may develop health issues (e.g., stress, illness, lameness)
Your plot value may not increase or may be reduced
You may be asked to rebuild or remove invalid structures
