Jump

Jump determines how high and effectively your horse can clear obstacles. It is especially important in show jumping, cross-country, and eventing competitions.

📊 Jump Height

  • Most horses start at 0.0 ft.

  • Show Jumpers begin higher at 2.99 ft.

  • Training allows horses to increase their jump level over time.

🏋️ Jump Training

Jump training is based on perfect jumps — when the jump meter lands on the orange bar.

  • Every 75 perfect jumps = +1 Jump Level.

  • A horse’s age determines how much height they gain per level:

Age Group
Increase per Level

4–7 years

+0.15 blocks

7–10 years

+0.08 blocks

10–12 years

+0.05 blocks

⚠️ After 12 years, jump ability declines by 5% per year.

⚠️ Fatigue & Jumping

  • Low stamina reduces jump performance.

  • Horses with low food or water may refuse or fail jumps.

  • Injuries (e.g. tendon damage) may reduce maximum jump.
