Speed
Speed determines how fast your horse moves across the different gaits, and it decides which Division (D1βD8) your horse belongs to.
π Divisions
Every horse on Equinox is assigned a Division (D1βD8) based on their maximum gallop speed. Divisions provide a fair speed category system so that horses can compete and train against others at a similar level.
Division 1: 45β50 mph
Division 2: 40β45 mph
Division 3: 35β40 mph
Division 4: 30β35 mph
Division 5: 25β30 mph
Division 6: 20β25 mph
Division 7: 15β20 mph
Division 8: 10β15 mph
β‘οΈ Divisions show only in /h info. Exact speed stats are hidden.
β‘οΈ Division is always based on the horseβs fastest gait (Gallop).
β© Speed & Gaits
Each horse can move through the four natural gaits:
Walk: 1β8 mph (0.4β3.3 bps)
Trot: 9β12 mph (3.4β7.2 bps)
Canter: 10β17 mph (7.3β11.3 bps)
Gallop: 18β50 mph (11.4β21 bps)
Training allows horses to unlock their full potential at each gait and improve efficiency over time.
π Speed Training
Riding your horse in different gaits trains multiple speed levels at once:
Walk β trains Walk only
Trot β trains Walk + Trot
Canter β trains Walk + Trot + Canter
Gallop β trains Walk + Trot + Canter + Gallop
Every 10 minutes of riding in a gait gives progress toward 1 Level in the affected gaits.

β οΈ After 12 years, speed declines by 5% per year.
